The role of professionals in the development of criminal organizations in local and international settings. Law enforcement measures in Italy and in the European Union

On the occasion of the ECPR, Conference December 2015, Naples, I presented the paper Mafia and Liberal Professional Collusion. The interplay between legal and social sciences. In 2015, I have just published an article on this matter in www.federalismi.it. In my research I studied the theme through a juridical methodology. I have identified the critical areas in the system. The results have been discussed first with the components of the «Interdisciplinary laboratory for research on mafia and corruption» of the University Federico II, of which I am one of the founders, and later with the President of Italian Antimafia Parlamentary Commission. These results are the premise to new research I am carrying out and that I would like to present in September 2016. The topics will be dealt with also looking European Union set of rules as well as some members States. It is also my intention to deal with a new issue, which I had the opportunity to discuss with the President of the conference of Italian universities. It regards ethics code in University and the training of professionals against the mafias.
