The paper aims at presenting small parties that managed to survive in Central and Eastern Europe over more than 2 decades. Although the concept itself (small party) seems to be blurred it is possible using quantitative measures to select a sample of them that were the most influential in last 3 decades. Some of these parties managed to enter coalition cabinets. However, most of small parties in the region were not able to survive and many of them could take part only in one electoral race. The paper will be focused on 26 cases of parties that managed to survive.
