In the paper the author examined 808 speeches of parliamentary political leaders in Poland (prime ministers, minister of foreign affairs, ministers competent for internal affairs, party leaders) in the period from the beginning of the seventh parliamentary term (November 2011) until the end of 2018. The analyzed speeches were examined in terms of stances and declarations about the migration crisis that has been occurring since around 2015, which took place in Europe. Political leaders in Poland, occupying extremely different positions, significantly influenced the dynamics of public discourse in this matter. The applied research method is quantitative and qualitative analysis, thanks to which it is possible to compare the frequency of speaking on the topic of migration crisis, comparative positions and declarations of political leaders on the migration crisis and EU solutions to combat the effects of this phenomenon. Research proves the speeches that parliamentary activity of political leaders in Poland in this matter differed significantly depending on party affiliation. The final stage of the research is to compare the positions and declarations of the Polish government regarding the migration crisis and the results of research carried out by the CBOS on the attitude of Poles to migrants. This will allow to check whether the government declares and implements social expectations in this matter.
