Local elections are the space in which the closeness of politics and citizenship becomes more vivid. And therefore, they are also the electoral arena in which the weight of the leadership is shown with greater force, over the expression of the party brand many times, and with a profile as a central element of the explanation of the political behaviour of the voters. The purpose that we are considering in this work is to analyse, applied to some spanish local elecetions, how the construction of the leaderships is produced at the local level, and more specifically, the weight that the emotions have in the definition of those. Building the idea of an emotional leadership that invades the whole political space and that creates, at the same time, strong links with the electorate.
