Abstract

The purpose of the proposed paper is to determine the extent to which the Party for the Animals has been able raise the attention for animal rights among established parties, and the mechanisms by which it has done so. The paper examines two mechanisms: the persuasion mechanism that focuses on the framing of the Party for the Animals; and the power mechanism that focuses on the ability of the party to set the parliamentary agenda.
