Abstract

Energy Justice and Energy Democracy have recently emerged as significant political concerns as well as distinctive fields in energy-related social science. The presented an analysis of all Energy Justice- or Energy Democracy-relevant articles sourced from the Web of Science, altogether more than 500 unique documents. The paper showcases similarities and differences in geographical and issue coverage, and provides a thorough conceptual and bibliographical reflection of the development of the two concepts since their introduction. The main focus of the analysis are citation networks and "conceptualization networks", e.g. clusters of documents that approach the concepts in a similar manner.
