Arab criminal clans in Israel

In the last years, organized crime in Israel was mainly associated with several Arab Israeli families, whose members have been regularly involved in protection racket, drugs and weapon smuggling, contract killings and money laundering in Israel and abroad. Based on my on-going research in the country I will analyze the recent developments in the Israeli underworld, modus operandi, importance of trust and reputation inside the Arab clans, interrelationship between Israeli law enforcement and Arab criminal leaders and attempts of alternative conflict resolution (sulha).
