Abstract

This article presents a comprehensive dataset to foster our understanding policy diffusion and interactions between the European Union and international organisations. The need for more available data has hindered researchers from studying the broader dynamics of this phenomenon. The dataset meticulously compiles information from approximately 1500 legislative files introduced between 2008 and 2023, encompassing the entire policy-making process. Beyond procedural aspects, it incorporates contextual factors such as crises and domestic politicisation. Most notably, the dataset provides critical insights into the EU’s engagements with international organisations, shedding light on instances of policy import from these entities. This endeavour enhances our understanding of the intricate dynamics that underpin EU policy-making and its interactions with the global regulatory field.
