Abstract

This paper will 'read' the edited collection and present perspectives in response from the majority world (also known as the Global South). In line with the themes of the section, key questions driving the reading will be: - What new theories have been suggested in this work from Oceania and Asia? Do these - or should these - fundamentally shift our understanding of gender and politics? Why and how so? - How can gender and politics data be generated more inclusively to account for ontological and methodological innovations in the majority world? Mercy Masta will be joined by Romitesh Kant and others to offer their perspectives.
