This paper will 'read' the edited collection and present perspectives in response from the minority world (also known as the Global North). In line with the themes of the section, key questions driving the reading will be: - What new theories have been suggested in this work from Oceania and Asia? Do these - or should these - fundamentally shift our understanding of gender and politics? Why and how so? - How can gender and politics data be generated more inclusively to account for ontological and methodological innovations in the majority world?
Sarah Childs will be joined by Renee O'Shanassy and others to share their perspectives.
