Abstract

Ana Juncos' contribution to the roundtable will help to situate the book within broader debates on EU foreign policy and multilateralism, assessing how its focus on informality reframes understandings of CFSP/CSDP governance and EU actorness under conditions of geopolitical fragmentation. Her contribution will probe how the book’s argument about “agile” arenas and informal practices complements or challenges legal‑institutionalist and practice‑theoretical accounts of EU external action. She will also reflect on the implications of the book’s findings for evaluating effectiveness, coherence, and accountability in EU foreign policy.
