Abstract

There has been an increase in the popularity of Eurosceptic parties around Europe. Populism has been taking a similar rising trajectory in many European countries, including Czechia. While populism and Euroscepticism in Europe have been intensively studied in recent years, the exact link between the two concepts remains unclear. This paper uses original public opinion data from Czechia (data collected in December 2025). The data include detailed dimensions of populism and Euroscepticism. This paper will analyze how dimensions of populism are related to dimensions of Euroscepticism. In addition, the analysis will examine whether the linkage between populism and Euroscepticism differs across subgroups of the population. The results of the analysis will improve our understanding of the link between populism and Euroscepticism in public opinion.
