In recent decades, Brazil has witnessed significant growth sectors of the neopentecostalism. From a constant presence in the media, the last presidential elections in Brazil have hosted a debate on critical issues about public health in the country. In this debate, neopentecostal sectors played a key role in shaping the public agenda, especially in the second round, when issues such as abortion and the harm reduction policies were put in check. This communication aims to analyze the factors that allowed the emergence of private questions in public sphere, outlining possible consequences of such event to the political scene.
