Radical and extremist ideas increasingly permeate popular culture, lifestyle movements, and everyday social spaces. This section explores the cultural dimensions of political normalisation, examining how extremist ideas gain legitimacy through music, literature, sport, food cultures, fashion, and online communities. It invites contributions that attend to the micro-level processes through which radical worldviews are reproduced, normalised, and contested in everyday life, and to the strategies through which communities resist extremist narratives.
