Abstract
When populist, radical, and anti-establishment parties enter government, they reshape policy agendas across a wide range of domains, from immigration and welfare to environmental protection, judicial independence, and press freedom. This section examines the policy outputs of these governments, the conditions under which institutional constraints remain effective, and the longer-term consequences of radical politics for democratic norms and public policy.
