Abstract

This section will explore the likely strategic and tactical shifts in US foreign policy -- and its foreign reception -- after Obama leaves office in 2017. The section welcomes assessments of Obama's foreign policy record and legacy and is particularly keen to recruit papers assessing the various theoretical understandings of the Obama administration. The section will consider questions surrounding (but not limited to) the coherence and endurance of an Obama legacy, notion of foreign policy success and failure, new and emerging challenges, the 'pivot to Asia,' and US relations generally.
