The Institute of Political Science (ICP) was founded in 1970 with the purpose of developing the scientific study of the political structures, processes and contents that were developed in Chile and the world. With the research and teaching of its academics, the publication of the Political Science Magazine, the most complete library in the country in the discipline, and the various extension activities, the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile is present in Chilean public life and fulfills with the function of contributing with the means it has, to the resolution of the different problems that Chile, the region, and the world present.
