In her own words

Sabine Volk

I am incredibly happy and deeply grateful to have been selected for the Rising Star Award and want to express my sincere thanks to the jury and, of course, to those who nominated me – my wonderful local and international colleagues Léonie de Jonge, Gabriele Abels, Rolf Frankenberger, Daphne Halikiopoulou, and Annika Werner.

This recognition means a lot, especially because ECPR is far more than just a professional association to me; it has profoundly shaped my academic journey from my very first conference presentation in 2018 to the collaborations that structure my daily work today. I am excited to reconnect at the 2026 General Conference at my Alma Mater!
