Publishing at ECPR

Publishing the very best new thinking in the field is a key mission of the ECPR. Not only does this advance the discipline as a whole, but it provides opportunities for scholars within our community to both read and publish cutting edge new research, thus enhancing their own careers.

Our publishing programme is broad and diverse across a range of media, from highly cited research and professional journals to well-established book series and a blog platform sharing topical news and analyses within and beyond academe. We work in partnership with seven of the world’s leading academic and university presses; these collaborations enable us to remain at the cutting edge of scholarly publishing and in turn continue to meet the ever-changing needs of our members.

We are working closely with our publishing partners to ensure all our journals continue to provide opportunities to publish for all within the context of a changing landscape and initiatives such as PlanS. In order to support our members in meeting funding mandates, all our journals provide opportunities to publish Green open access, with the PRX offering Gold OA at a deeply discounted cost to members.

Getting published and maximising the impact of that opportunity is vital for early career scholars, so we provide both practical support and advice on this at our professional events, and roundtables and seminars on the subject at our General Conference. All our publications are edited by scholars from across our membership community, providing opportunities to lead and shape the discipline with full institutional support.
