Adina Akbik is Senior Assistant Professor of European Politics at Leiden University’s Institute of Political Science. Her research focuses on the European Parliament’s accountability powers, the role of EU agencies in policy implementation, as well as decision-making and politicisation in the euro area and EU justice and home affairs. In 2023, Adina was awarded an ERC Starting Grant for a project studying the role of cultural stereotypes in EU governance.
