Dr. Akudo McGee is the Advocacy and Communications Officer at the human rights NGO, the London Story. She is also head of the pan-European think-do tank 89 Initiative. She holds a PhD from Maastricht University, where her research focused on the response of Polish civil society to threats to the rule of law and human rights from 2015 - 2022. This project received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement No 847596. Akudo holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pittsburgh in German Language and Cultural Studies and a Master of Arts from the University of Amsterdam in European Studies: Identity and Integration.
