I am an assistant professor/senior lecturer at the Faculty of Governance and Global Affairs, Leiden University. My research interests cover, but are not necessarily limited to, theories of state punishment, criminal justice ethics, democratic theory (with a focus on the ethics of elections and voting, questions of disenfranchisement, and the political morality of democratic decision procedures), social and political epistemology, experimental political philosophy, and methodology debates concerning public policy ethics.
