Researcher in social policy, judicial dialogue and legal activism. Angelina obtained her PhD in EU law at the Public Law Department of KU Leuven (Belgium), where she is currently an associate researcher. Since 2021, she works as a Researcher with focus on social policy at the European Social Observatory in Brussels. She is currently leading a thematic group on advancing policies on disability rights, as part of the academic preparation of the Belgian Presidency (2024). Her research interests include legal activism, the rights of persons with disabilities, gender equality, the CJEU, and more recently the rule of law crisis and democracy backsliding in the CEE.
