Anna Durnová researches the interplays of emotions and knowledge in politics and uses examples from science controversies and health policies. The main interest of this work is to understand the policy processes better, in particular the conditions of political legitimacy. She is a Professor of Political Sociology at the Department of sociology at the University of Vienna. she is also Faculty Fellow of Yale University Center for Cultural Sociology. She has PhD in Political Science from University of Vienna, and Habilitation from Sciences PO Paris. She is the advisory board member of the International Public Policy Association and member of the Editorial Collective of the journal Policy & Politics
