Antonija Petričušić is an Associate Professor at the Chair of Sociology, Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb, Croatia. She serves on the Advisory Committee on the Council of Europe's Framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities in respect of Croatia from 2018 to 2022. She is a member of the Ombudswoman's Human Rights Council. She received her Ph.D. in Constitutional Law from the Karl-Franzens University of Graz, Austria. She received her M.A. in Sociology and Social Anthropology at the Central European University in Budapest, Hungary and M.A. in Human Rights and Democratization from the University of Sarajevo and the University of Bologna. She graduated in Law and Journalism at the University of Zagreb. She has been long involved in research activities related to realisation of minority rights, management of diversity and inter-ethnic relations in South-Eastern European countries. She is a lecturer at the European Regional Master's Programme in Democracy and Human Rights in South East Europe, an interdisciplinary Master’s programme coordinated by the University of Sarajevo and the University of Bologna. Her main scientific interests include ethno-religious nationalism, diversity management, gender equality, women's rights and women empowerment.
