Barbora Menclová is an assistant professor at the Institute of International Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University. She focuses on the history and current development in Portugal and Portuguese-speaking countries. She has lectured and published on the historical ties between Czechoslovakia and Portugal and the current Portuguese policy in the EU. Together with the Portuguese embassy in Prague, she organised a series of conferences on the Portuguese EU Council Presidency in 2021. Her PhD research dealt with the Czechoslovakia’s role in Lusophone Africa.
