Beth L. Leech is Professor of Political Science at Rutgers University. Her research focuses on non-governmental institutions -- interest groups, social movements, and the news media -- and the roles they play in representation and policymaking. She is the author or co-author of the books Basic Interests, Lobbying and Policy Change, Meeting at Grand Central, and Lobbyists at Work, as well as numerous journal articles and book chapters. She currently is completing a book on interest group lobbying strategies and is part of a research team investigating interest group and public agendas in the US, UK, Germany and the Netherlands. She is co-editor of the journal Interest Groups & Advocacy (Palgrave).
