About

I am working on my PhD (part time, alongside much Philosophy teaching and other paid work). The overall aim of the PhD is to develop principles for an equitable distribution of transport-related autonomy opportunities. The principles are first generated using a relational conception of autonomy and Rawlsian reasoning ( the veil of ignorance, reflective equilibrium and public reason) and then tested in focus groups. I am based in Nottingham UK but supervised by Marcel Wissenburg and Karel Martens at Radboud University Nijmegen. Recent conference papers : “Not all inequalities are unfair : Equity, individual autonomy and transport” – paper presented on 1st September 2021 at the 2021 ECPR General Conference “The ethical Legitimacy of Government Action in Response to Coronavirus : an Assessment of normative Resilience” – paper presented on 30th March 2021 at the 2021 UK Political Studies Conference
