About

Dr. Camelia Florela Voinea has founded the ECPR Research Network of Political Culture in 2018, currently ECPR Standing Group of Political Culture and she has been the first Convenor and lately the Chair of the group during 2018-2021. Starting in June 2022, she is Founder and Chair of the ECPR Research Network on Political Anticipation. Dr. Camelia Florela Voinea is Associate Professor and Director of the European Research Centre for Political Culture Analysis and Modelling, Department of Political Science, International Relations and Security Studies, Faculty of Political Science, University of Bucharest, Romania. Since 2012, she is the Founder of the European Research Group on Political Attitudes (EPAM), EPAM Conference Series (European Conference on Political Attitudes, ECPAM), the European Quarterly of Political Attitudes and Mentalities (EQPAM), and the European Journal of Political Culture (EJPC). She has been EQPAM's Editor-in-Chief (2012-2023), and EJPC's Editor-in-Chief (2021-2023). Since 2023, she is the Speciality Chief-Editor of the Political Science Methodologies Section of the Frontiers in Political Science Journal. Education: She holds a B.S. in Computer Science from  the University "Politehnica" of Bucharest (former Polytechnic Institute of Bucharest) and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University “Dunarea de Jos”, Galati, Romania. She has developed doctoral studies in Informatics at the State University of Turin, Italy, in Information Sciences at the University of Milan, Italy, and in Computer Sciences and Artificial Intelligence at the Free University of Brussels, Belgium. She has also developed doctoral studies in Philosophy and Cognitive Science at the 1st International Institute for Cognitive Science of the University of New York at Buffalo, U.S.A.   International Scientific Reputation: Between 1990-2006 she has been invited as Research Fellow and Guest Researcher at the University Paris-South (France, 1990), Information Science Dept., State University of Turin (Italy, 1990-1992), School of Computer Science, University of Pittsburgh (U.S.A., 1994), at the Fraunhofer AiS, Robotics Laboratory (Germany, 2001), Computer Science Department, University of Aarhus (Denmark, 2001), University of Wroclaw (Poland, 2018). From 2006 to 2012, she was member of the European Social Simulation Association (ESSA) and member of the ESSA Scientific Board (2010). Since 2016 she has been the Founding President of the European Political Culture Association (EPCA).
