Catarina M. Liberato is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Kent (UK). She integrates the Global Europe Centre (GEC), the Comparative Politics Group, and Kent's Consortium for World Affairs (KCWA). She joined the School of Politics and International Relations in 2020, after obtaining a master’s degree in History, International Relations and Cooperation from the University of Porto (Portugal). Catarina started her research journey looking into the Portuguese foreign policy during Great War, and into the implications of Brexit on the EU’s security and defence. Currently, her research focuses on British foreign policy changes and ideas in the Brexit context.
