My work covers resource and infrastructure governance and impact analysis, including commons and cooperatives in the context of water, energy, agriculture and forestry and I use political economic, behavioural and institutional theories and network, game-theoretic, configurational and input-output models to study socioeconomic dimensions of sustainability transformations and technological change. I am PI in i-CONN, a H2020-ITN on interdisciplinary connectivity science and SUNRISE, a Horizon Europe project on critical infrastructures. I am an agricultural scientist (BSc) and economist (MSc) and hold a PhD from HU Berlin. I am a senior researcher at the Institute for Advanced Studies, Vienna, and Masaryk University Brno. I was a Post-doc at the Swiss Federal Research Institute WSL and visiting scholar at the Ostrom Workshop at Indiana University Bloomington and the Center for Environmental Policy and Behavior at UC Davies, among others.
