About

Dr Eleanor Leah Williams is a Junior Research Fellow at University of Oxford. Eleanor specialises in intelligence studies, ethics and counterterrorism. Eleanor research focuses on state intelligence in the contexts of the conflicts in Northern Ireland and Colombia. Her current research is also expand her Northern Ireland expertise looking at the UK state actions during the Troubles, the Good Friday Agreement and legacy issues in Northern Ireland post conflict. She has published articles in Intelligence and National Security (co-authored with Dr. Thomas Leahy), and Critical Studies on Terrorism. Eleanor has also presented on the intelligence war in Northern Ireland on the US podcast SpyCast. Eleanor is a member of the Women's Intelligence Network [WIN], ECPR Standing Group for Political Violence and the North American Society for Intelligence History [NASIH].
