About

Elisabeth Gsottbauer, Dr., is guest professor of environmental economics at the University of Innsbruck & Assistant Professorial Research Fellow at the London School of Economics (Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change). She is also a Visiting Fellow at the Department of Land Economy and Wolfson College at the University of Cambridge. Her work focuses on the application of experimental methods to study the effectiveness and acceptance of economic and environmental policy measures. She is also interested in how behavioral aspects influence (environmental) decisions and how behavioral insights can inform public policy making. Elisabeth received her PhD degree in economics from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in 2013 and joined ETH, Zurich as Postdoc the same year. She also has stayed at the Tropical Agricultural Research and Higher Education Center (CATIE) in Costa Rica for conducting fieldwork and has visited the University of Gothenburg, Environmental Economics Unit as a guest lecturer. Prior to joining the Institute of Public Finance, University of Innsbruck, Elisabeth was a postdoc fellow at the Alexander-von-Humboldt Professorship of Environmental Economics at the University of Osnabrück, Germany.
