About

I am a research fellow at the Autonomous University of Bucaramanga (Universidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga), where I investigate the relationship between gender and corruption. I hold a Ph.D. in Political Science from the Center for Research and Teaching in Economics (CIDE) and a master’s degree in economics from the National University of La Plata (UNLP). Prior to my current role, I conducted postdoctoral research at the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (TEC of Monterrey) and the National Autonomous University of Mexico, exploring the dynamics of corruption in Latin America. In 2020, I also got a ZUKOnnect Fellowship from the University of Konstanz. My research agenda is centered around understanding various facets of political corruption, including perceptions of corruption, the influence of political party structures, citizen engagement in combating corruption, and gender equality. My work contributes to a deeper understanding of corruption’s impact on society and informs strategies for promoting integrity and accountability in governance.
