About

Giulia Andrighetto is a queerfeminist researcher and PhD Candidate in Sociology at the University of Vienna (Austria), working for the Research Platform GAIN: Gender Ambivalent Invisibilities. After an MA in Gender Studies, Giulia has been critically questioning conventional frameworks of knowledge production, directing efforts towards adopting Affect Theory for analyses of private projects of social transformation. Interested in researching why power relations so endure even when faced by collective political resistance, Giulia is currently working on reconciling the materiality of economic practices with(in) emancipatory relational practices and matters of identity, in the framework of private projects of economic solidarity in western neoliberal capitalist societies.
