I study economic sociology, social network analysis, online social networks, alternative currencies, social stratification, internet and society, Bitcoin regulation., tacit knowledge, and organizations. I am an Associate Professor at the Department of Sociology, University of Haifa. My main interests are economic sociology, social network analysis, and Internet studies. I seek to understand how social structure shapes economic behavior, and how relational patterns affect economic exchange and social interaction. In various studies, I have investigated inter-relations among producers, nations, and organizations, as well as the impact of offline and online ties on communicative behavior. My recent research is on online currencies, folk theories of economics, and algorithmic regulation.
