Dr. Inga Ulnicane undertakes interdisciplinary work on politics, policy and governance of science, technology and innovation. She has published on a range of topics such as governance of emerging sciences and technologies (e.g. Artificial Intelligence, neurotechnology, nanotechnology), European integration in research and innovation, and frames in science, technology and innovation policy (e.g. excellent science, Grand societal challenges, and economic competitiveness). Her research has appeared in journals like Policy and Society, Journal of Responsible Innovation, Science and Engineering Ethics, Science and Public Policy, Journal of European Integration, and others as well as in edited volumes published by Routledge, Edward Elgar and Springer. She has also prepared commissioned studies for the European Parliament and European Commission. She is Research Fellow at the University of Birmingham (UK) and has worked at De Montfort University (UK), University of Vienna (Austria), University of Twente (Netherlands), University of Latvia and Latvian Academy of Sciences, and has been a visiting researcher at Georgia Tech (US) and University of Manchester (UK). She is member of the Steering Committee of ECPR Standing Group Knowledge Politics and Policies.
