I am a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Edinburgh and a post-doctoral researcher in IR at the Institute of Political Science at FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg. Previously, I have been a PhD Researcher in the Department of Political and Social Sciences at the European University Institute. My research centers on the comparative study of dynamics of state formation and state decay in Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East; and the theory and practice of international state-building. Some of my research is published in the European Journal of International Relations, International Affairs and the Journal of International Relations and Development.
