Julie is a PhD student at the University of Oldenburg. Her research focuses on climate change adaptation in German public policy. In the ADAPT Lock-in project, her team examines governance dynamics with a focus on how path dependencies or ‘lock-ins’ are created and reinforced in six "problem domains" across three countries: Germany, the Netherlands, and the UK. Her current case studies focus on coastal risk management, heat stress prevention, and mental health risks in relation to climate change.
