After completing my Master's degree in migration studies at IMIS, I have been working on measures of the federal return policy since 2015 as part of an employment at Leuphana University. I have been a research assistant there since 01/2021. As part of the project "Police, Politics, Polis - Dealing with Refugees in the City", I am researching the question of the extent to which the police are integrated into local practices specific to refugees and how their actions are shaped by the local environment. In my doctoral thesis, I deal with the security perceptions and needs of refugees, especially in relation to collective accommodation for refugees, and juxtapose these with the security perceptions of police actors. Main research interests: - Security needs of refugee populations; - Refugee and collective accommodation; - Deportation and assisted return; - Critical Race Theory; - Police Critical Research
