Mark Rhinard is Professor of International Relations at Stockholm University and Senior Research Fellow at the Swedish Institute of International Affairs. He earned his MPhil and PhD degrees from Cambridge University and taught at Oxford and Leiden universities. His research examines the cooperation challenges generated by cross-border security threats, with an emphasis on the European Union. He is the author or editor of several books on security issues, including Nordic Societal Security (2020, Routledge) with Sebastian Larsson and Theorising Internal Security Cooperation in the European Union (2016, Oxford) with Raphael Bossong.
