EU civil servant working as Head of Unit in the European Parliament. Markus Warasin joined the European Public Service in 2005 and works at the European Parliament (EP). He is currently Head of Unit in the parliamentary Committee for Constitutional Affairs (AFCO). From 2017 - 2019 he was assigned to the Cabinet of the President of the European Parliament, Antonio Tajani. His previous work experience includes 10 years in managerial positions as head of unit (in Directorate-Generals for External Policies, for Internal Policies of the Union, and for Communication) and as policy advisor to Director Generals at the European Parliament (in Communication as well as in Translation). Markus holds a PhD in Political Theory and History of Ideas from the University of Innsbruck and a MA in International Politics from the Université Libre de Bruxelles.
