About

PhD student investigating inter-ethnic relations in urban contexts, with a special focus in segregated spaces. In my PhD project I investigate how space influences intergroup relations. I use in-depth interviews and mental maps to investigate: - Which spatial characteristics may promote intergroup contact and cohesion; - How groups that share the same space negotiate their (place-)identities; - How emotional attachments influence subjective neighborhood constructions. Previously done research in environmental sustainability and local governments. Thus, remaining a topic of interest. Software used: NVivo, QGIS, R
