I work as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Lucerne, Switzerland. My research mainly focuses on political behaviour and political sociology; particularly political socialization, class voting, gender and politics, and family and politics. Currently, I'm expanding my research focus to the socio-political consequences of digitalization, as part of the third-party funded project "Digitalization and political conflict" (DIGIPOL). I hold a PhD in Political and Social Sciences from the European University Institute (2017). My work has appeared in the British Journal of Political Science, European Journal of Political Research, West European Politics, and Acta Politica, among others. My research has been featured in national and international media, including The Guardian, Times Radio, zentralplus, among others. Occasionally, I write about my research on the Dutch political science blog Stuk Rood Vlees.
