Michael Giesen is a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Bamberg. My research focuses on the design, diversity, and politics of all types of international organizations. I particularly focus on human rights and environmental politics. I obtained my PhD from the Free University Berlin in the joint “Human Rights under Pressure” programme. I also hold a BA degree in Political Science (Chemnitz University of Technology) and a MA degree in International Relations (joint programme Free University Berlin, Humboldt University Berlin and the University of Potsdam).
