Mike Peters, Dr., is Full Professor at the Department of Strategic Management, Marketing and Tourism Management at the University of Innsbruck, Austria. He holds the chair of “SME & Tourism” focussing research on small business development, family businesses and entrepreneurship in tourism and leisure. He began his career with an apprenticeship in the restaurant industry and worked in the industry for about ten years. His research interests circle around the processes of entrepreneurship and associated problems, such as succession planning, product development and innovation processes in SMEs and destinations.
