About

Ammar is a critically minded, developing researcher in gender politics, Indonesian studies, and ASEAN/Southeast Asian studies. He is currently pursuing his PhD at the School of Political Science and International Studies, UQ. His PhD research investigates the emergence of resistance to gender equitable policy reforms in post-Reformasi Indonesia. He is equipped with well developed interpersonal skills and experienced in working with diverse stakeholders to provide policy recommendations for community development. He has a strong desire to put theory into practice with an aspiration for social justice and equality.
