Nacera Haouchine is a part-time PhD student in International Relations at the university of Keele. She is based in the School of Social, Political and Global Studies (SPGS). Her research focuses on Migration and Security Studies. Her PhD thesis entitled A Genealogical Study of the Barbarian: The Case of the Muslim Immigrant tackles the issue of immigration in the West and the constant resurgence of the word-concept Barbarian. She delivered several seminars on Securing Global Order, and she is lecturing on Human Rights and Global Politics. Nacera is a former editor of Under Constrcution@Keele Journal and she is currently an editorial assistant for IDEA Journal and a blog editor for IMISCOE PhD Blog.
