About

I am a Lecturer in Public Policy and Administration, the (interim) Programme Director of Degree Apprenticeships in the College of Social Sciences and International Studies; and from Sept 2021-2023 I will be on part time secondment supporting the development of the Policy@Exeter initiative. I am a Public Policy and Administration scholar with a particular focus on questions of environment and climate. I have a problem-orientated research agenda that draws upon and contributes towards the governance, state, sustainable development, and administrative traditions literatures (amongst others). Building on my pre-academic professional experiences I have a particular interest in working closely with environmental public agencies and public sector workers and have well developed links with numerous European environmental agencies. I am an active member of the international Public Policy and Administration academic community. I have previously convened undergraduate modules in environmental politics and public administration, with a special focus on student employability and active learning pedagogies.
