About

I am currently Deputy Head of the Institute of Design Research at the Bern University of the Arts and Senior Researcher at Luzern University of Applied Science. My research interest focuses on the social impact of technologies on our societies: from exploring questions of inequalities and justice, to investigate modes of digital activism and participation. I have a doctorate in Design Anthropology from the London College of Communication and I specialise in Anthropology of Technologies and Social Design. I was previously Director of Research at Democratic Society where I led research on Digital and Democracy, exploring the social implications of digitalisation on society at large and the impact of digital technology on our democratic practices and our public space. I was also a Research Fellow at the Weizenbaum Institute, researching questions of Digital Inequalities and Digital Sovereignty.
